Benjamin Zhong is a Senior Data Analyst at Kapstream Capital, responsible for data, risk and investment analytics and quantitative modelling.
Prior to joining Kapstream in early 2022, Benjamin served for three years at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority as a Senior Analyst, assessing the capital health and investment risk of major financial institutions. He previously spent 11 years at Challenger Limited in various investment analytics roles, including Financial Risk Manager in the Life Division, Team Leader of Investment Analytics in the Fund Management Division, and Investment Analyst in a boutique global equity fund. Before moving to Australia, he worked for seven years at GF Securities Ltd, first as a Senior Internal Auditor and then as a Financial Controller in the fund management subsidiary.
Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Economics with First Class Honours from Sun Yat-sen University, China, and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager and passed CFA Level III in 2009.
